What God orders, He pays for (Merry Christmas to me!)

We are praising-Jesus-excited to be on the other end of this FUNdraising campaign and to have been given the green light to head into the studio this January to record the new album, No Longer My Own. It was, indeed, a step of faith to launch another kickstarter, especially this close to Christmas. But, every time I got heart to heart with God on the matter, I’d sense His nudging to be brave and trust…and so with fear and trembling (and just the right amount of guts!) we pressed go on the 30-day campaign in mid-November. And, lo and behold, the album was fully funded two nights before the deadline. Truly, a CHRISTmas miracle…

I love what my sweet friend and backer, MarLo, posted on my Facebook wall in response to it’s success…“No vision is permanently stopped by lack of finances, but by a lack of faith and courage, and an unwillingness to step out and take risks. When you do, you’ll discover that God can “supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.” (Phil. 4:19) According to what? His riches! And they are available when you’re willing to get out of your comfort zone and act boldly.”  -Jentezen Franklin

Jesus’ bold love for me makes me ever increasingly more bold for Him. And He keeps meeting me there. I wonder what He might be calling you toward in 2015? Is there a step of faith or course of action He’s impressing on your heart? Perhaps something you’ve been putting off and you know darn well it’s of God. Hear Him whisper, “I’ve gotcha, baby. I’ve gotcha.” Do the thing, stay on your knees, and then watch Him blow your socks off.

Another dear friend and backer, Cynthia, who has been helping with the campaign quoted back to me a lyric from one of the new songs I had shared with her at the start of this journey. She referenced God’s “storehouses brimming with gifts none could earn.” And that pretty much sums it up.

Lord, you are great and greatly to be praised. We are most humbled by this lavish outpouring and seek to be good stewards of all You have given. Now, let’s make a record!!! Woohooo!

A very merry and meaningful CHRISTmas to you and yours…

Wow Cheri this is great news!! I can hardly wait to get my hands on the next CD. The last one touched my heart so deeply, and after playing the two favorite songs THERE WILL BE ONE DAY AND HELLO GOD, from the SO I CAN TELL CD, I found myself regaining a lot of the spiritual strength I had lost while spending the first half of last summer fighting a critical relapse with leukemia and other secondary infections.I saw you with Jason Crabb (I think?),when you were singing on TBN. I laid in my hospital bed that night crying my eyes out, to the words of THERE WILL BE ONE DAY, until I couldn’t cry anymore. I later ordered the CD, and I knew of several other people who really needed to hear the message of that song, and so when you announced your summer clearance in July, I ordered a small bulk of that CD title, and gave them away as gifts to people who desperately needed to hear the message of HOPE that came through the song. I praise God, for you Cheri, and the gifted voice that you have. The two aforementioned songs have given me the strength I lost during the summer and fall of 2013. I pray you have a very Merry Christmas, and a blessed New Year, and a good time making this next CD.
