Meet Cheri…

Beginning as a worship leader at a small church in Southern California, veteran CCM artist Cheri Keaggy has ministered through music and testimony for nearly thirty years. Her debut album, Child of the Father, released to rave reviews in 1994. Ten albums, nine Number One songs, three Dove Award nominations and a Dove Award win later, she returns with her first studio album in seven years. Exploring life’s changing seasons, What I Know To Be True celebrates both the joy of marriage and becoming a grandparent, and the devestating sorrow of losing a loved one to suicide.

“At times I didn’t know if this album would ever come to fruition”, says Cheri. “Following my father’s unexpected Homegoing, I slowly waded and waited through what seemed like a bottomless sea of grief….until the Lord parted the waters and finally brought it to pass.”

Co-produced with legendary guitarist and Grammy award winning recording artist Phil Keaggy, the album is a stunning collection of folk/pop songs exposing at times both unguarded emotion and an unshakable profession of faith in the unchanging anchor of Christ. A full hour in length, the album includes fifteen original compositions with a bonus track, “Hope Is Believing”, originally featured in the movie, Christmas Ranch.

With a past catalogue of offerings utilized in churches worldwide, such as “There is Joy in the Lord” and “In Remembrance of Me”, and years of speaking and singing through TV appearances and a variety of ministry events, perhaps Cheri’s heart is best captured through her mission statement…

By God’s grace and equipping, it is my life’s joy and privilege to know Christ and make Him known, ministering His message of Hope and Healing through song, speech, and the written word; to tell of His goodness and compel others to do the same for the glory of God.

Cheri lives south of Nashville, TN with her husband, Steven, and their dog, Sadie. She has two adult children and two beloved grandchildren and enjoys reading, journaling, and spending time with family.
